Willow Palin |
Willow Palin was first introduced the American public, along with her family, when GOP Presidential Candidate John McCain announced that Sarah Palin would be his vice-presidential running mate at a Dayton, Ohio campaign rally in August, 2008. Willow went on to appear with the family at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota in September.
Willow Palin has been the victim of brutal and relentless attacks by mainstream and Hollywood media personalities, as has the rest of her family. Willow was first attacked by comedian David Letterman after she attended a New York Yankees game with her mother. Letterman made a derogatory "joke" about Willow getting pregnant in the 7th inning by Yankees player Alex Rodriguez. Willow was 14 at the time. Many people on both sides of the political divide criticized Letterman's comments.
In November, 2010, Willow Palin was again targeted by the media after she called some people by anti-gay slurs on Facebook. Willow was responding to another poster who was criticizing her family's TLC Network show, Sarah Palin's Alaska. Both she and her sister, Bristol Palin, got into a back and forth argument with several posters about their family.
Comedianne Kathy Griffin, known for her vile and lewd "jokes" about Sarah Palin and Bristol Palin, also got into the act, when, in January, 2011, she announced that her next target was Willow Palin. Griffin, an outspoken homosexual rights advocate, told the Hollywood Reporter:
"I've already gone for Sarah, Todd and Bristol obviously, but I
think it's Willow's year to go down."
"She's called people a fa---t on Facebook a couple of times. You
don't throw around the f-word without hearing from me about it."
A quick search of Willow Palin on google is very informative and shows the merciless and unrelenting attacks on Willow's family. The first 100 search results are littered with stories about alleged pregnancies, alleged drug usage, name calling and other gossip by gossip websites such as gawker.com, tmz.com, perezhilton.com and thehollywoodgossip.com. This kind of pressure would make any teenager feel vulnerable, so it's understandable that Willow might lash out her antagonizers.
Having said that, we all know Willow's comments were inappropriate and she surely got a lesson in how to respond to public pressure from her mother.
The information on this website is taken from public sources on the internet. There is not much information on Willow on the web, so here are a few more pictures of her.
